Katie was born and raised in Bathurst, New Brunswick. She grew up with her sister and
brother on Youghall Beach and enjoyed many golf seasons at Gowan Brae Golf & Country
Club, where she later worked at the bar during the summer months. Bathurst is a beautiful
bilingual city and Katie is so excited and grateful to be able to work with the lovely folks of
the Chaleur region. Katie also has ties with the Miramichi, having family on both sides of the
river, and is looking forward to meeting with clients from the north shore in the JDLG
Miramichi Office.
Katie currently lives with her fiancé and their two rescue dogs in Marysville, Fredericton. She
attended St. Thomas University, where she played varsity soccer, and graduated with a
Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Great Books and a double-major in Communications and
Public Policy. Katie then attended UNB Law in Fredericton and graduated with a Juris Doctor
degree in 2022. She was called to the bar in June 2023 and is excited to begin her legal
career with JDLG.
Katie est née à Bathurst et a vécu au Nouveau-Brunswick toute sa vie. Elle a grandi avec sa sœur et son frère sur la Plage Youghall et a joué au golf pendant de nombreuses saisons au Gowan Brae Golf & Country Club, où elle a ensuite travaillé au bar pendant les mois d’été. Bathurst est une ville bilingue et Katie est très enthousiaste et a surtout hâte de pouvoir travailler avec les habitants de la région Chaleur. Katie connait bien la Miramichi, ayant de la famille des deux côtés de la rivière, et a hâte de rencontrer les clients de sa ville natale et des régions avoisinantes au bureau du JDLG à la Miramichi.
Katie vit présentement avec son fiancé et leurs deux chiens, à Marysville, Fredericton. Elle a fréquenté St. Thomas University, où elle a joué sur l’équipe de soccer féminin, et a obtenu un baccalauréat en arts avec spécialisation en « Great Books » et une double majeure en communications et en politique publique. Katie a ensuite suivi les cours de droit à l’université du Nouveau-Brunswick (UNB) à Fredericton et a obtenu son diplôme juris docteur en 2022. Elle a été admise au barreau en juin 2023 et se réjouit de commencer sa carrière juridique au sein de JDLG.
